Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using QuizOwl.

1. Acceptance of Terms

  • •By creating an account or using QuizOwl, you agree to these Terms of Service.
  • •QuizOwl is a child-directed service for ages 5–15: a parent or guardian must create, own, and consent to the child's account, and is responsible for the child's use of the platform.
  • •If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must review and agree on your behalf.
  • •Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any future updates to these terms.

2. Account Responsibility

  • •You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • •Do not share your password with anyone. QuizOwl will never ask for your password.
  • •You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • •Parent/guardian accounts are responsible for activity by linked child accounts.
  • •If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately at connect@quizowl.in.

3. Acceptable Use

  • •Use QuizOwl only for lawful, educational purposes.
  • •Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute our content or platform.
  • •Do not use automated scripts or bots to interact with the platform.
  • •Do not submit false information, create fake accounts, or impersonate others.
  • •Respectful behaviour is required in all community features (leaderboards, missions, etc.).

4. Content Ownership

  • •All quiz content, illustrations, mascots, and educational material on QuizOwl are owned by QuizOwl.
  • •Users may not reproduce, republish, or distribute QuizOwl content without written permission.
  • •User-generated content (e.g., profile names, avatars) remains the property of the user.
  • •By submitting content, you grant QuizOwl a non-exclusive licence to display it within the platform.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

  • •Free plan users have access to core features with no credit card required.
  • •Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout.
  • •All payments are processed securely through our payment partner Stripe. QuizOwl does not see or store your full card or UPI details — only your subscription status and dates.
  • •Refunds are available within 30 days of purchase if the service fails to meet its described features.
  • •Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing date.

6. Termination

  • •QuizOwl reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
  • •Users may delete their account at any time from the Settings page.
  • •Upon termination, access to premium features will be removed, and data will be deleted within 30 days.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • •QuizOwl is provided "as is" and we make no warranties about uninterrupted or error-free access.
  • •We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from platform use.
  • •Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to Terms

  • •We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
  • •Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
